私が所属している工房ザボハウスは今年３月台東区根岸へ引っ越しました。
以前の東京きっての観光地原宿と違って今度は下町。街の風情も人々の雰囲気もまさに新天地です。

The art studio ZABOHOUSE I belong moved from Harajku to Negishi area on last March.
This area is calling “Shitamachi“（The name for traditional areas of Japanese cities)
So here completely has a different atmosphere from Harajuku it’s a place a source of fashion and art.

＜清水観音堂　Kiyomizu Kannon-do temple ＞

新工房は最寄り駅は鶯谷、入谷ですが、上野公園から歩いて１５分くらいのところにあり、
上野公園好きとしては散歩する楽しみが増えて嬉しい限り。
早速この春は一人お散歩花見を満喫しました。
その時の写真をアップします。

＜不忍池界隈　around Shinobazu pond＞
ここはたくさんの鳥たちがいます　There are a lot of birds this area.

The new studio is 15 minutes walk from Ueno park, though our the nearest station is Uguisudani.
I’m happy that I can have a greater opportunity to stroll Ueno park, because Here is my favorite place.
And at the bigining, I didn’t miss the chance to see cherry blossom in Ueno park which is famous for there are a lot of cherry trees.
I posted some photos I took at that time.

こちらは嬉しかったサプライズ。
写真は上野の清水観音堂を正面から見たのと舞台の上から見下ろしたもの。
なんと歌川広重の名所江戸百景に描かれた「上野山内月のまつ」が再現されておりました。
すばらしい。円の中から江戸の大名屋敷が見えたらいいのになぁとしばし妄想。

And I found nice surprise at Kiyomizu kannon-do temple.
They reproduced “Tsuki no Matsu” It was drawn in Ukiyoe by Hiroshige Utagawa!
I dreamed of watching Edo chitiy inside of the moon circle.

表参道のスパイラルで開催中のミナペルホネンのexhibition「ミナカケル」を観に
に行きました。伺ったのが初日だったからかすごい人でした。
I went to Mina Perhonen exhibition with my friend at spiral in Omotesando the other day.

マネキンが着ている歴代のお洋服もテキスタイルもミナのかわいい個性にに満ちていていました。
生地の質感からは職人たちの手仕事のぬくもりと素晴らしさが伝わってきます。
Clothes he’s created and textiles, those were full of distinctive taste of Akira Minagawa
and I also could feel a great handwork by artisans from his textiles.

2階のスパイラルマーケットに売っているミナペルホネングッズも全部かわいい。
バッジに手を伸ばしましたが、レジまでのあまりの長蛇の列に、その後の予定の時間を考えて
購入を断念。。また機会があれば立ち寄りたいです。

楽しかったのはお客様たち。ミナの洋服着てる人がいっぱいいました。
マネキンよりやっぱりはるかに雰囲気伝わってきます。
It was fun for me, because most of visitors were wearing minaprhonen’s clothes.

会場の壁面もミナペルホネンのテキスタイルでミナの森状態になってました。
The wall was covered by his textiles, it was like minaperhonen forest!

最後はミーハーにも一階レストランで皆川さんレシピのスペシャルランチをいただきました。
かわいいテキスタイルに浸れる展示は6/7（日）まで。
I really love his textiles! It’s till June 7th.

オランダ在住のアーティスト、スザンヌ・ノリスさんとのMUJIノート交換日記

The 4th report of Amsterdam↔Tokyo note project with Suzanne Norrise who is an artist and living in Amsterdam.

今回、間に個展などがあり、私が手元に長〜く置いてしまったのでかなり期間があいてしまいました。
This time I’ve kept MUJI notebook on my hand for a long term as an excuse to have an exhibition….

私の前のページにはスザンヌの森を歩く美しいオオカミが描かれていました。
そして私の次のページの閃きはこのオオカミをトレースすること。そこから下絵のイメージをふくらませました。
そして出来上がったのが一番上の画像の絵です。

A beautiful Wolf that walks through the forest was painted on previous page by Suzanne,
and I flashed an idea into my mind to trace her Wolf on my page, and I did it.
After that I developed my new image. And then I finished up the top photo’s picture.

スザンヌのオリジナルの絵には私のページの森とリンクするように青い木々を描き加えました。
雪深い森でオオカミは鹿のマスクをかぶっています。足元には血が・・
果たしてかれは春を告げる赤ずきんを何を思って見つめているのでしょうか・・。
友達になりたいのか・・それとも・・・。
彼女もなにか不安を感じているようです・・。

I put blue trees on Suzanne’s page because I wanted to connect her forest with my page’s forest.
The Wolf is wearing a deer mask with a little blood on his foots.
We are uncertain what he has in mind…….
He would like to become a friend with her?…or….
She seems to senses some tension about his presence….

さて、そしてもう一冊のスザンヌから届いたノート。
今回は画面いっぱいに繊細に描かれた蛾の数々！！

Well, Here is Another One I received from Suzanne.
Beautiful variety of moths were drawn on it!!!!

前の私のページをめくってみると・・梅の木の枝にはこれから蛾になるであろう
芋虫がいっぴき描かれておりました。

And I realized that a purple caterpillar was painted by her on japanese plum’s branch in my previous page! 🙂

そう、私達の交換絵日記は「No Rule」お互いがお互いのページに何を書き加えてもよいのです。
そしてそのコラボーレーションを今お互い楽しんでます。

So, we can always draw (paint) anything on each other pages freely. Because our rule is “No Rule”. 🙂
And I feel we are enjoying its collaboration now.

このノートを受け取ってからかなり日がたったある日・・何気なくページがめくっていると
一匹の蛾が目に飛び込んできました。
スザンヌはこっそり他のページにも蛾を描き込んでいたのでした。
それはまるで秘密を発見したような愉快な気持ちに私をさせてくれたのでした。

One day It’s been a while since I received this note from Suzanne,
….suddenly a moth jumped to my eyes when I casually turned pages.
So she secretly drew it on a different page.
It made me amused as if I discovered a secret!

さて。次はなにを描こうかな。
