オランダ在住のアーティスト、スザンヌ・ノリスさんとのMUJIノート交換日記
プロジェクトの７回目のレポート、part2です。
The ７th report PART2, Amsterdam↔Tokyo notebook project with Suzanne Norrise who is an artist and living in Amsterdam.

part1に引き続き、私のページpart2をアップします。
I will introduce my page in part 2 this time.

スザンヌと私は二冊のノートを交換しています。
締め切りもルールもないのでそれぞれが好きな時に好きなものを描いて送っています。
今回、私の手元にあるノートの前のスザンヌのページはこちらでした。

Suzanne and I are exchanging 2 sketchbooks.
We create anything we like on our each at any time, because there is “No Rule” and “No Pressure”.
Here’s Suzanne’s previous pages of a notebook that I have on my hand, this time.

そしてめくったページはこんな感じになってます。
And next page was like that.

実際に取り掛かる前のしばらくの間、この刺繍をどうしようかなと考えて
同じように刺繍を施すことにしました。ただし、描いて。

For some time until I got my pages started, I thought about this beautiful stitchwork.
And I decided to create embroidery like her, but I did it by drawing, not stitching.

裏のスザンヌのページにも手描きの刺繍を加えました。
I added hand-drawn embroidery on the revers side of Suzanne’s page.

この刺繍の輪を雪の結晶に見立て冬の夜空に星々と雪と一緒に浮かべました。
この結晶が雪原に舞い降りるとそこにふわっと小さいお家が生まれます。
そこにはすでに小さな村ができています。

I used this embroidery rings to resemble snowflakes, and put those on the winner night sky.
When this snow crystals was falling in the snow field, a little house was born at the place.
Already a small village was made there.

＜そして村が完成しました。finally I finished up painting a village＞

今回は「空と大地」。縦長に画面を捉えてみました。
I created “the sky and the earth”, so I set my page vertically long this time.

Suzanneの刺繍とのコラボレーションの出来上がりです。
I completed the collaboration with stiichiwork by Suzanne.
ちょうど手元に届いたオランダからのもう一冊のノートと一緒に記念撮影しました。(^_^)
I took a photo with Another one which just arrived my hand from Netherlands.

プロジェクトの7回目のレポート、part1です。
The 7th report PART1, Amsterdam↔Tokyo notebook project with Suzanne Norrise who is an artist and living in Amsterdam.

今回は二回に分けてまずはスザンヌのページをアップします。
I will introduce Suzanne page in part 1 first.

前回の私のページはフクロウが飛ぶ深い森でした。
My previous page was the deep forest owls are flying.

果たして、スザンヌの次の空白のページには何が描かれているんでしょう。
いつもこの瞬間がワクワクして幸せでたまらない私です。
Well, What’s happening in Suzanne’s next blank page.
I always love this exciting moment that I turn next page!!

畳まれた紙を広げるとそこに現れたのは凛々しい目をしたフクロウでした。
アーティストでもありデザイナーでもあるスザンヌらしい作品です。
A sharp‐eyed heroic owl appeared there when I spread some scraps of papers.
This work is so Suzanne who is an artist and a designer.

スザンヌは私が描いた森の守護者を描きたかったと言っています。
本当はとてもフレンドリーなこのフクロウ（彼女とスザンヌは書いているので女性ですよ）の
頑固そうな風貌は、森とそこに生きるものたちを脅かすあらゆるものから守るという彼女の内面の強い意思の現れでなのです。

Suzanne wrote in her blog that she wanted to create a protector of the forest I made on previous page.
This regal-looking owl is actually quite friendly, flinty-eyed look manifests her strong resolve to protect the forest.
The following text is a quotation from Suzanne’s blog
“She looks rather flinty, but she’s really quite friendly. That’s just the outward manifestation of her resolute determination to protect all those that call the forest home from all those that would cut down, kill, consume & catalogue.”

彼女の瞳は暗闇の中のどんな変化も見逃しません。
そう、スザンヌはフクロウの瞳に蛍光塗料を塗っていたのです。
私のカメラではその柔らかな光をとらえることができなかったので、
スザンヌが撮った写真をアップします（承諾は得てます）

The owl eyes grasps any ominous changes in the darkness.
Well, Suzanne painted fluorescent coating on her eyes.
My poor camera couldn’t catch up the glow light,
I shared this photo taken by Suzanne.

この美しいフクロウがノートブックの開いた1ページなんてちょっと信じられないですよね。
I can’t believe this beautiful owl’s pichture is A double pages of notebook!
