すこし新しいプロジェクトを始めることにしました。
私一人ではなく、アーティストの友人と二人で。
　
I started something new project since this summer.
It’s not only by myself, I do it with my dear artist friend.

まだなんとも言えないのだけれど、きっと何度も海を越えて
想像のバトンをつないで、ページを重ねて行きながら、そして
楽しみながら続けてゆきたい。そんな風に思う秋の夜長です。
またおいおいお知らせできたらいいなと思います。

Maybe It will cross the see many times, we will be passing the creating baton
with adding new pages and I’d like to continue our new project while having fun.

そしてここから始まりました〜
And it started here.

幼なじみのお店なのでちょっと紹介。
表参道にある「IDOL」というお店。イベントスペースとして元々使われていましたが
この度、一角をレストランとしてオープンしました

I had a drink last weekend at IDOL in Omotesando, Tokyo.
It’s my childhood friend’s restaurant, so I’d like to introduce there.

すこし暗いヨーロッパのラウンジのようなレストラン。素敵な空間です。
二次会利用としてお酒やお茶しにくるだけでも可です。
IDOLはイベントやウェディングなどにも使われてるのでご利用の際は事前に
電話していただくか、HPのカレンダーを参照にしてみて下さいね。

Usually, that space is used as an event space.
He converted a corner of that event space into the restaurant.

１０月に入ってからずっと暑い日が続いてましたがここに来てようやく気温が下がってきましたね。
とはいえ大型台風が来るとか。気候がやっぱり変ですよね。
さて、９月は誕生月でした。そう、いまよりもっと９月のほうが爽やかでした・・・
In Japan, it was still hot even in October. And We will have the big typhoon tomorrow around Tokyo.
It’s something weird weather…
Well, September was my birthday month, and it was cooler than October.

その誕生日に、心のこもった嬉しいギフトをいただきました。
プレゼントそのもの、そしてそれだけでなく梱包やラッピングもとても
素敵だったのでちょっとご紹介します。

I received some heartfelt gifts for my birthday.
I’d like to introduce those because those were so wonderful
not only some gifts themselves but also wrappings.

一つはオランダの友人、sakurasnowから届きました。
おそらくラッピングペーパーも手作りでした。デザイナーさんであり、
アーティストでもある彼女のギフトはセンスに溢れてます。

One came from Netherlands. My friend sakurasnow sent it for me.
I thought that even wrapping papers were hand-made.
She is a designer and an illustrator at once, so her gifts
were full of excellent sense!

たくさんのギフトボックスをもらいまるで盆暮れ誕生日すべてが一緒に
来たような・・。価値観や感覚が似ている彼女からの贈り物の中身は
いつも私にインスピレーションを与えてれます。

She gave me a LOT of wonderful gifts. As if my birthday and Christmas
come along together. I’m thinking that we have similar tastes and feelings,
so her gifts always proved me many inspirations. 🙂

＜そしてこちらはベルギーに住む幼なじみより＞

そしてもうひとつはベルギーの友人からです。彼女とは小学校時代の合奏部の幼なじみです。
センスが良くて手先も器用な彼女のラッピングはコラージュがかわいい。
そして夏にあった時に私がプレゼントしたAVRILの糸でとってもお素敵な
アクセサリーを編み上げてくれました。すごいなぁ・・
さっそく身につけてます。

And another came from Belgium. My childhood friend sent it for me.
She has a good sense and good hands. She made a cute collage work in her wrapping.
She knitted for me so nice yarn’s accessory by AVRIL yarns which I gave her those when
I met her in this summer. I was wearing it soon. 🙂

プレゼントの包み紙を開けるときの何とも言えない興奮する気持ちは
何歳になっても童心に返してくれます。
When I open my gift wrappings, my mind always relives my childhood.
It reminds me of childhood excitement.

＜そしてこれは自分と家族から＞

おまけに、自分自身に買った本と家族からの贈り物の本。
ネットでなんでも調べられる時代になったけれどやっぱり紙ものが好き。
目の前でページをめくりながらじっくりと眺めるとインスピレーションがちゃんと
じわじわと自分のフィルターに入ってくる気がします。

And…the last, the birds book I bought for myself and the artisans book from my hasband.
I love things made by papers even if we can research anything on the internet.
If I look carefully each turn of a page, inspirations rightly come through my filter from there gradually. 🙂
