今日は１冊の素敵な本のご紹介をします。
「I ♡STATIONERY」と題されたこの本は紙ものの
美しいデザインアイテム、カードやラッピング用品、
ノート、レターセット、などなどを紹介している本です。

Today I introduce on beautiful book titled “I ♡ stationery”.

” “I ♡ stationery” is a celebration of contemporary stationery and the
artisanal processes used to create gorgeous handmade cards, notebooks,
letter sets, invitations, journals, wrapping paper, and more.”

オランダに住むアーティストであり、デザイナーでもある私の友人
スザンヌがSakura Snowというブランド名で作っている作品も
スクリーン印刷とペーパーカティングのページに掲載されています。
誇らしい！

And my friend Suzanne Norris’s art works are introduced in the chapter of
Screen Printing and the chapter of Peparcutting. 🙂
She creates a line of stationery and paper goods for her Sakura Snow store

ページをめくるごとに作家たちのセンス溢れる紙ものステーショナリが
現れ、その美しい写真をみているだけでもインスピレーションが湧いて

英語版だけだったのですが、最近本屋さんで日本語版
が発売されているのを発見。大人買いしてしまいました。
プリントものはなんだか心ひかれるなぁ・・・。
素敵な作家達のセンスある紙もの作品。アイディア満載の一冊です。

以前装画コンペのために描いた
メーテルリンクの「青い鳥」です。
This is one of my acrylic paintings
“L’Oiseau bleu” Maeterlinck.

原画の上半分がないほうがいいなぁと思って
トリミングしてみました。
I trimmed away lower half part of an original picture,
because I thought that would be better.

お気に入りの花屋さんが表参道にあります。
つい先日も母の誕生祝いの花を買いに立ち寄りました。
Today, I’d like to introduce my favorite flower shop in Omotesando.
I visited here to buy my mom’s birthday flower just the other day.

その花屋さんの存在を知ったのは２年前。
個展の時に頂いたお花がきっかけでした。
黒いボックスに敷き詰められた花は色のバランスも完璧で
シックでいて洗練されていて、なにより今まで見たことがない
ボックスに入れられたスタイルに興味をそそられたのでした。

I knew that flower shop 2 years ago,
because I received their flower when I had my exhibition.
The black box covered with flowers and plants was so
chic and urbanity. And that had perfect colors.
Above all I intrigued by their style which flowers were
put in the box I had never seen.

ボックスの蓋には店の名前でもあるフラワーデザイナーの名前が
記されていました。
Nicolai Bargmann
デンマークのコペンハーゲン出身で卒業旅行で日本に来たのが
きっかけで来日、お父様が花の仕事をしていることもあり、
ニコライさんも日本ではなの仕事を始めたのだそうです。

I found designer’s name on the box top.
Nicolai Bargmann

He came from Copenhagen in Denmark.
He decide to move to Japan when he visited here by graduate trip.
And he started to work as a flower designer influenced by his father
who runs flower business in Denmark.

表参道のお店
ニコライ・バーグマン フラワー アンド デザイン フラッグシップストア
にはカフェも併設されていて、ジューサーでその場で作ってくれる
フレッシュジュースなども飲めます。
アレンジメントが出来るまでの３０分程、私もカフェでスケッチなど
しながらゆったりとジュースタイムを楽しみました。

There is a cafe in Nicolai Bargmann flagship store in Omotesando.
And we can enjoy fresh-squeezed juices.
Of course I also enjoyed their juice while I was waiting my mom’s flower arrangement.

母のアレンジメントも素敵に完成しました。
お花を眺めながらお茶しに行くだけでも癒されそうな空間です。
I think here is a space for relaxation if you just drop in for tea
while viewing flowers.
